In March, the students of Class VII2, alongside their parents and their class teacher, Biljana, planted a Japanese cherry tree in the courtyard of “Dositej Obradović” Primary School in Prijedor. They planted it as a symbol of friendship, of gratitude, of remembrance — as a gentle gift intertwining the past, the present, and all that is yet to come.
Today, just a few weeks later, the cherry tree has crowned itself in blossom.

Friendship blooms, love takes root, and memories send up new sprouts — tender shoots rising near the base, close to the heart of the young tree.
When we saw the first delicate petals, our hearts swelled. It was as if nature herself whispered: “Love lives here.”
In every flower, in every breath of spring wind, we are reminded that nothing truly precious ever fades. It simply stays — sometimes in different, quieter forms, but with the same strength.
In a smile, in an embrace, in every day warmed by kindness.

Just like our cherry tree. Planted in the name of love and friendship, and in honor of someone who will always be with us.
May each of its blossoms remind us that true friendship knows no end. It carries on, it grows, it embraces, and it blooms. And it shows us that children, with their hearts wide open, already know the most important truth — how to keep love alive.
